The rooftop restaurant offers stunning city views.

During my stay, the initial room I was assigned had a horrible odor, which the staff seemed indifferent about when I requested a change. After much insistence, I was finally given a different room, but it was still quite dirty, with noticeable spots on the toilet and a smoky smell lingering in the bedding. The experience left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed throughout my stay.

The hotel's location was prime, conveniently near the metro and a vibrant bazaar. I especially loved the rooftop dining overlooking the city—perfect after exploring all day. They even welcomed our dog, making it easy for the whole family to enjoy our stay.

My kids wished for larger rooms.

my stay was so exasperating, I almost wrote a glowing review. however, the water from the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor and I discovered I was bitten by bedbugs! How utterly appalling. I expected a warm welcome, and instead received nothing. The only good point was the location. just a pity they didn’t try harder.

Location was very convenient, directly across from the metro station 🚇. The staff were super accommodating & helpful! They held our bags and even called a taxi whenever we needed one!.

However, soundproofing issues led to disturbances from neighboring rooms, making it difficult to relax at times. Limited English from the staff added to the challenges in communication. Parking was somewhat complicated, requiring a quick drop-off and pick-up, which could be inconvenient during busy times.

I loved dining at the beautiful rooftop restaurant with a stunning view and enjoying the delicious breakfast buffet every morning. The hotel also had a cozy lounge and a game room for some fun downtime. The room could have used a bit of updating, but it didn’t take away from my overall great experience. 😊

would have stayed for longer

The standard double or twin room with balcony was incredibly clean! It had air conditioning, a private bathroom, a nice view, and a seating area. Loved the free toiletries and the complimentary evening soup was a bonus. Staff tried really hard to communicate, and the breakfast at the rooftop was awesome with great views!

Single travelers seeking comfort

The location is fantastic, literally a stone's throw away from the metro, made sightseeing a breeze! The warm hospitality of the staff really hit home when they helped me with my bags on the last day and even called a taxi for me.

The location of 86 By Katipoglu is outstanding, as it is just a short walk from popular attractions like the Grand Bazaar and the harbor. The rooftop restaurant offers an excellent breakfast buffet with a wide variety of choices and stunning views of Izmir. The rooms are clean and comfortable, providing a pleasant stay for business travelers.

My stay at Hotel 86 By Katipoglu was delightful! The room was beautifully decorated with a stunning balcony that provided a wonderful view of the city. I absolutely loved the cleanliness of the facilities and the friendly staff who were eager to assist with anything I needed.

The surrounding area was quite noisy.
